Paul Yates is the ideal end-to-end engineer for tangible electronics and prototypes. After graduating with a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Tech, he worked for six years in embedded electronics startup companies where his small teams were responsible for every aspect of their products from hardware to software to backend. Paul has been a primary contributor to highly battery-constrained and size-constrained electronics and the servers they communicate with. He is extremely well-versed with embedded mobile modems, real-time operating systems, embedded linux, and ARM processors. These skills allow him to blend sensor measurements such as GPS, accelerometers, barometers, and dynamometers with energy-efficient communication over Bluetooth, WiFi, or the mobile network. His extremely wide breadth of experience gives him a unique ability to craft a solution to any problem.
